Jackson is a marine scientist, commercial diver, and scuba instructor from South Africa. He grew up on a farm near the Kruger National Park and was lucky enough to spend a lot of time diving and fostering his love of the ocean in southern Mozambique and Sodwana Bay. He studied in Cape Town and worked for his university’s benthic equipment retrieval team before moving to Bali to become a scuba instructor in 2019. Since then, he has worked on marine conservation and dive training projects in South Africa, the United States, the Caribbean Leeward Islands, the Maldives, Indonesia, Madagascar, and now the United Arab Emirates.He is currently certified as an instructor under PADI, RAID, and SSI and is a core member of the Project REEFrame science team.
