Freestyle Divers Instructor Development EFR Instructor Course is part of the Instructor Development process and a prerequisite for the PADI Open Water Instructor Course but can be taken by anyone who is interested in teaching life-saving skills to ‘Create Confidence and Care’ in their community.
During the Emergency First Response Instructor Course, you will build on the skills you acquired as an Emergency Eesponder, Care for Children or the Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) & Automated External Defibrillator (AED) curriculum. During the EFR Instructor Course you will focus on developing your instructional abilities in order to teach the skills you have learnt to others. The Emergency First Response Instructor course provides you with the additional training necessary to teach the Emergency First Response Primary Care (CPR), Secondary Care (First Aid) and Care for Children courses. You will be taught through a mix of independant study, classroom sessions and practical teaching assignments to learn to conduct Emergency First Response Courses.
The Freestyle Divers Instructor Development EFR Instructor course will cover a set of specific goals and performance requirements aswell as instruction on how to structure learninig, the requirements of performance based training and your role as an instructor. We will teach you how to evaluate student knowledge and inspire motivation. Most importantly, you will become somebody who can help others potentially save lives! CPR and first aid are important skills that are important to everyone, not just scuba divers. As an EFR instrucor, you can offer courses to anyone and teach skills which are based on internationally recognized emergency care guidelines.
